Pilbara Ports delivered a total monthly throughput of 65.9 million tonnes (Mt) during August 2026.
No percentage increase or decrease compared to August 2025.
The Port of Port Hedland achieved a monthly throughput of 47.4Mt, of which 46.6Mt was iron ore exports. This was a five per cent increase compared to August 2025.
Imports through the Port of Port Hedland totalled 179,000 tonnes, a decrease of two per cent compared to August 2025.
The Port of Dampier delivered a total throughput of 14.8Mt, an eight per cent decrease from August 2025.
Imports through the Port of Dampier totalled 117,000 tonnes, resulting in a two per cent increase from August 2025.
Several factors influence the fluctuation of throughput, including changes in market conditions, weather conditions, port maintenance operations and customer needs.
