You must return your MSIC to your issuing body within 30 days after it has expired.
Penalties may apply for MSICs not returned. The penalty is 10 units. Each penalty unit is worth A$364.
If you obtained your MSIC from Pilbara Ports, you can return your MSIC in person to the MSIC Office or if you are no longer in the local area you may return your MSIC via post. Address is on the reverse of the MSIC or below.

Remember it is a requirement that you return your MSIC to your MSIC issuing body under the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Regulations (2003).
An MSIC holder must return the expired MSIC to an issuing body 30 days or less after:

A contravention of subregulation (1) is an offence of strict liability.
